HUNTED turns Dark Deception’s maze chase into a Roblox experience built around a simple pressure loop: enter a portal, collect soul shards, read the map and sound cues, avoid the monster, and finish the stage objective. The difficulty comes from performing those jobs while something is hunting you. Start with safety and route discipline instead of trying to memorize an old Dark Deception walkthrough as if every HUNTED layout and rule were identical.
The official experience is HUNTED [THE HOLLOW], created by the verified Glowstick Entertainment x Exclusible group. It supports PC, mobile, and console. The public description recommends maximum graphics and headphones and warns about flashing lights and loud noises. Adjust those settings for comfort before entering a portal; a recommendation is not more important than accessibility or a stable frame rate.

Time-sensitive eventBefore you enter a portal
Confirm you are on Place ID 136431686349723 and that the creator shown is Glowstick Entertainment x Exclusible. Similar names and copied thumbnails are not enough. The correct page describes an official Roblox version of Dark Deception and the goal of collecting soul shards while avoiding nightmares.
Set graphics high enough that walls, intersections, pickups, and warning effects remain readable, but lower them if performance becomes inconsistent. Keep sound on at a safe level because HUNTED is designed around audio warnings. If flashing lights or loud jumps affect you, change settings, play with someone nearby, or choose not to continue. The official warning belongs in your first-run decision, not at the bottom of a troubleshooting list.
Read each map as a new problem
HUNTED currently exposes six named stage places in its Roblox universe: Monkey Business, Elementary Evil, Stranger Sewers, Mascot Mayhem, Bearly Buried, and Pillar Pursuit. Each has its own map guide, official badges, and threat identity. The place list proves those names and their membership in the universe; it does not prove an exact route, shard count, checkpoint, or monster speed.
On a first entry, identify four things before pushing deep into the maze: the start or return point, the map display or objective UI, one recognizable landmark, and the direction from which the monster can pressure you. Build short loops that reconnect to a known junction. A controlled loop is easier to recover than a long chain of turns chosen only because the next shard is visible.
When the layout or current build differs from a video, trust the live objective and geometry. A walkthrough is useful for learning the stage’s structure and visual language, but it is not a guarantee that every pickup or chase behaves the same after an update.
Make soul-shard collection repeatable
Soul shards are the central public objective. Collecting them is not just a race toward the next glowing object; it is a route-planning task. Glance at the map at junctions rather than in exposed corridors, clear nearby branches in a predictable order, and listen before committing to a dead end. If a monster closes the route, preserve the run by taking a known escape rather than forcing the last visible pickup.
Monkey Business has an official Shard Enthusiast badge for a streak of 100 shards. That proves the named streak target for that map. It does not establish the total shards in every map, whether all modes share counting rules, or exactly what breaks a streak. The Soul Shards Guide keeps those boundaries explicit.
Use badges as objectives, not invented rules
Roblox’s official badge list provides dependable goal statements. It confirms S Rank badges for multiple stages, Open Gate Policy for opening all gates in Stranger Sewers, Camera Shy for completing Mascot Mayhem without triggering cameras, Teddy Defuser for exploding 15 Teddies in one gameplay, and Illusion Breaker for destroying 10 illusions with the StunOrb.
Those descriptions are excellent goal selectors. They are not a complete scoring formula or route. If you want a normal clear, learn the stage first. If you want a challenge badge, read its exact wording, choose a run devoted to that condition, and verify the badge on your profile after completion. The Badges hub organizes the official conditions by map and goal type.
Solo, group, and PvP decisions
The public creator case study describes HUNTED as playable alone or with others, while the universe also contains a dedicated Hunted PvP place. The best choice depends on what you need to learn. Solo play gives you control over pacing and makes your own navigation mistakes obvious. A group can reduce the stress of learning, but other players may change where attention and danger move. Exact team rules and shared progression still require current in-game verification.
PvP is a separate decision. Official badges prove Monster and Mortal wins on Monkey Business, Elementary Evil, Deadly Decadence, and Pillar Pursuit. Do not carry a story-map route directly into PvP and assume the objective, item boxes, teams, or monster abilities are identical. Use the PvP hub for role-specific preparation.
Handle The Hollow as a current event
The official HUNTED description currently says to collect 75 candies. The Candy Collector badge tells players to use Trick-or-Treat doors inside portals with the event tag, then return to the main lobby and interact with the Ring Alter. The same badge description says both “more than 75” and “once you’ve collected 75,” so the text is internally inconsistent.
Follow the live quest counter and prompt. Do not rely on a promise that exactly 75 or 76 will fix every claim issue, and do not assume third-party Ticket or door-probability numbers are official. The The Hollow Quest Guide separates the official route from community-reported details and gives a recovery checklist.
A reliable first-session plan
- Open the verified HUNTED experience and read the current description.
- Set graphics, sound, camera, and controls for comfort and stable movement.
- Start with the Beginner Guide and choose one stage goal.
- Use short, recoverable collection loops and pause at safe junctions to read the map.
- Treat a loss as route information: identify where awareness, path choice, or timing failed.
- Verify any badge on your Roblox profile and recheck time-sensitive event prompts in game.
Common mistakes
Do not import exact speeds, powers, shard totals, or routes from the original Dark Deception without HUNTED evidence. Do not treat an award percentage as a difficulty requirement. Do not buy a pass before reading whether it is permanent, consumable, capped, or disabled in PvP. Do not run exploit scripts that promise automatic shards; they can compromise an account and do not teach a safe route.
Most importantly, do not let a guide override the current screen. HUNTED can update. A dated article should help you understand the decision, while the live objective, map, product panel, and badge record settle the current state.
