HUNTED is a maze survival game: enter a stage, collect soul shards, read the map and sound cues, stay away from the monster, and complete the stage objective. Your first goal should be a controlled run that teaches the route, not an S Rank. HUNTED adapts Dark Deception for Roblox, so original-game knowledge can help with names and themes but cannot settle HUNTED’s current layouts, speed, powers, or scoring.
Join the correct game
Open HUNTED on Roblox and confirm the creator is the verified group Glowstick Entertainment x Exclusible. The root Place ID is 136431686349723, and the universe ID is 7229780065. The current public title is HUNTED [THE HOLLOW].
The official description calls this the Roblox version of Dark Deception and names soul-shard collection as the central objective. It also warns about flashing lights and loud noises. Do not continue if those effects are unsafe for you.
Set up for readable movement
The developer recommends maximum graphics and headphones. Treat those as starting suggestions, not requirements. Choose a graphics level that keeps corridors, pickups, warnings, and landmarks visible while maintaining stable input. Keep sound high enough to notice threat cues but low enough to be comfortable.
Confirm movement, camera, interaction, and any sprint or mobility control on your actual device. HUNTED supports PC, mobile, and console, and prompts can differ. Adjust camera sensitivity before entering a serious run. A camera that turns too slowly makes intersections dangerous; one that turns too quickly makes map orientation harder.
Pick a first stage goal
Monkey Business is the natural first page in this guide set, but live portal access and progression should be read in the current lobby. For the first attempt, choose one objective: learn the first loop, reach a recognizable landmark, collect a stable sequence of shards, or finish the normal stage. Do not combine a new-map clear with S Rank, challenge, and streak goals.
The official universe also contains Elementary Evil, Stranger Sewers, Mascot Mayhem, Bearly Buried, and Pillar Pursuit. Each adds different challenge badges and threats. Use the Maps hub when you move beyond the first portal.
Run the maze in short loops
At the first junction, choose a side and remember one landmark. Clear a small branch, return to the junction, and then take the next branch. This creates a route you can describe and recover. If you follow only the nearest visible shard, you can cross the same corridor repeatedly and leave isolated pickups behind.
Check the map at wider spaces or known junctions. Do not stare at it while moving through a blind corridor. Before entering a dead end, listen for the monster and identify the return line. If the threat closes the route, leave the shard and return later. Survival preserves more information than forcing one pickup.
The Soul Shards Guide expands this loop and explains the official 100-shard streak badge in Monkey Business without guessing total shard counts.
Learn from a capture
After a loss, classify the mistake. Did you overlap the route and lose orientation? Did you read the map in an exposed place? Did you ignore an audio cue? Did you enter a dead end without knowing the monster’s position? Change one cause on the next run.
Do not immediately spend a revive only because the button is available. Read the current revive prompt, decide whether the run is recoverable, and remember that official pass descriptions cap revives at 2 per level, per run for relevant products and disable them in PvP. A fresh attempt can be better than continuing a route you never understood.
Use badges to choose the next challenge
Official badges give you clear optional goals. Shard Enthusiast asks for a streak of 100 shards in Monkey Business. Open Gate Policy asks you to open all gates in Stranger Sewers. Camera Shy asks you to complete Mascot Mayhem without triggering cameras. Teddy Defuser asks for 15 Teddies exploded in one gameplay. Illusion Breaker asks for 10 illusions destroyed with the StunOrb.
Choose one after you can finish or navigate the stage. Read the badge wording again before the attempt and verify the award on your profile afterward. Award rates are not instructions and do not reveal the full scoring formula.
Decide between solo and other players
Public creator material describes HUNTED as playable alone or with others. Solo play is best for diagnosing your route because the pace and mistakes are yours. Other players can make a first visit less stressful, but public sources do not completely define shared shard credit, monster targeting, or progression in every mode.
If the live UI offers a mode choice, use solo when you want repeatable practice and group play when you want shared exploration. Observe the counters before assuming a teammate’s pickup counts for you.
Keep PvP separate
HUNTED has a dedicated PvP place and official Monster/Mortal win badges on four maps. PvP is not merely the story stage with another player added. Team sizes, objectives, map rotation, item boxes, and ability balance still need current testing. Visit the PvP hub after learning the basic movement and map language.
Beginner checklist
- Verify the official creator, Place ID, and universe.
- Set graphics and sound for safety and stable control.
- Read the live portal and objective text.
- Choose one learning goal for the run.
- Build short loops around recognizable junctions.
- Check the map only at safer moments.
- Preserve an exit before taking a dead-end shard.
- Review one mistake after capture.
- Confirm badges and purchases through Roblox, not a third-party claim.
What still needs in-game verification
Exact controls, difficulty choices, shard totals, pickup refresh, shared credit, checkpoint behavior, monster AI, revive flow, and portal unlock requirements can change and are not fully described by the public Roblox records. Use the current interface as the final authority. A dated walkthrough can demonstrate one build, but it cannot guarantee every future route.
