HUNTED Monkey Business Guide

Prepare a Monkey Business run in HUNTED, build clean hotel loops, manage Murder Monkey pressure, and work toward the official shard-streak and S Rank badges.

Monkey Business is an official HUNTED place with ID 102181577519757. It is the hotel-themed stage associated with Murder Monkeys. Roblox’s badge records confirm two useful goals: Shard Enthusiast for a streak of 100 shards in Monkey Business and Monkey King for earning an S Rank. The records do not publish the full route, total shard count, monster count, or S Rank formula.

First-run objective

Use your first entry to learn one complete hotel loop and the route back to a recognizable lobby, elevator, desk, doorway, or other major landmark shown by the current build. Confirm the objective counter and map before moving deep into the corridors. The stage is complete only when the live objective and exit sequence say so; reaching 100 streak shards is a separate badge target, not proof of the normal clear.

Choose one side at the first junction. Clear nearby branches in order and return to the same junction. Hotel corridors can look similar, so attach a direction to a landmark: “left of the desk” is more useful than “near the red wall.”

Manage Murder Monkey pressure

Murder Monkeys are the named threat linked to Monkey Business across the Dark Deception franchise and current HUNTED coverage. Exact HUNTED speed, count, spawning, and tracking behavior need current testing. Listen for approaching pressure, keep turns visible, and avoid committing to a dead end when you cannot account for the threat.

When chased, take a known loop and watch whether the monster follows, cuts across, or forces you to reverse. Do not assume behavior documented for the original game applies exactly. Use the live result to decide whether the next loop should be shorter or have a wider junction.

Build the 100-shard streak attempt

The Shard Enthusiast badge description is precise about the target: get a streak of 100 shards in Monkey Business. It is not precise about what breaks the streak. On a dedicated attempt, watch the streak display after capture, damage, a missed pickup interval, a transition, or a teammate’s action. Keep the run simple until you know the failure condition.

Start with the safest known loop instead of the largest cluster. A streak ends because the run loses continuity, not because the route looked slow. Verify the award on your Roblox profile when the counter reaches the requirement.

Prepare for S Rank

Monkey King proves that an S Rank exists, but the public description does not state time, shard, death, streak, or difficulty thresholds. First record the final results screen after a normal clear. Identify every scored field and change one variable on the next run.

A practical order is route completion, fewer wrong turns, fewer captures, then faster collection. Do not publish or rely on an exact threshold until the current results screen reproduces it. A community video can show a successful run without revealing which score component was decisive.

Recovery when shards are missing

Return to the earliest loop that you can describe completely. Check small side corridors, corners behind a landmark, and branches you abandoned during a chase. Use the map at a safe junction to find isolated spaces. If the counter stops but the stage objective changes, read the new prompt before assuming another shard remains.

If repeated attempts leave the same area incomplete, slow down and note every turn from the nearest major landmark. A short written route is more reliable than trying to remember the whole hotel from one failed run.

Common mistakes

  • Starting an S Rank attempt before completing a stable normal route.
  • Treating the 100-shard streak as the total-stage shard count.
  • Looking at the map while entering a blind hotel corridor.
  • Copying original Dark Deception enemy numbers or speed into HUNTED.
  • Spending a revive without knowing whether the current route can still meet the intended badge goal.

Use the Murder Monkeys guide for threat-specific observation and the Soul Shards guide for collection loops. For the competitive version, use Monkey Business PvP; its Monster and Mortal win badges do not prove the same objectives as this story place.

Current verification status

Official: place identity, Shard Enthusiast name and 100-shard streak wording, and Monkey King S Rank goal. Community corroborated: Monkey Business is treated as the hotel/Murder Monkey stage in current guides and walkthroughs. Needs in-game testing: complete route, shard total and placement, monster behavior, checkpoint and escape rules, difficulty differences, and S Rank thresholds.
