HUNTED Mama Bear Guide

Prepare for Mama Bear in HUNTED's Bearly Buried stage, separate Teddy challenge work from threat observation, and verify current phases before using a fixed route.

Mama Bear is the named threat associated with HUNTED’s Bearly Buried stage. Current HUNTED walkthroughs and discussion support the identity, and official badges confirm the map’s completion, S Rank, and 15 Teddies in one gameplay challenge. Mama Bear’s exact Roblox phases, AI, speed, detection, and relationship to Teddy interactions still need current testing.

Separate the threat from the Teddy count

Use Bearly Buried for one normal reconnaissance run before attempting Teddy Defuser. Learn the route transitions and identify where Mama Bear pressure begins. Counting objects while discovering a new threat makes both records unreliable.

On a later challenge attempt, tie each Teddy area to a landmark. Do not stop in an exposed section to update the count. Reach a safe junction, confirm the route, and continue.

Observe stage phases

Bearly Buried coverage suggests a multi-part experience, but original Dark Deception boss phases are not automatically HUNTED phases. At every major transition, reread the objective and identify whether movement, threat, or interaction rules changed.

Record Mama Bear observations by section. A cue or response that works early may not apply later. Do not combine different phases into one universal speed or tactic.

Build safe responses

Find a junction with at least two exits before deliberately testing pressure. Listen for the first warning, watch the approach, and move toward the known loop. If Mama Bear or a related threat blocks the line, use the alternate route instead of forcing the planned Teddy path.

Repeat the same response before calling it reliable. If a transition spawns another threat or changes geometry, create a new loop record.

Preserve Teddy Defuser conditions

The badge says to explode 15 Teddies in one gameplay. It does not define whether Mama Bear interactions create, remove, or alter valid targets. Confirm that an action produces the expected explosion and count only recognized results.

If a capture or phase change occurs, check whether the current build preserves challenge progress. The “one gameplay” wording warns against assuming cross-session persistence, but it does not settle revive or checkpoint behavior.

S Rank and survival

Problem Child confirms an S Rank goal. A stable response to Mama Bear can reduce failed attempts, but no public formula says exactly how survival, time, shards, or Teddy interactions contribute. Complete normally, record the result screen, and improve one measurable field.

Do not use the first Mama Bear behavior test as a rank attempt. Rank optimization needs an already understood route.

Recovery questions

After capture, check the stage section, objective, collected progress, Teddy state, and available route. If the challenge count is uncertain, finish the run as reconnaissance and restart cleanly. If the same phase repeatedly fails, change the entry route or timing rather than assuming an unsupported weakness.

Common mistakes

  • Copying original-game Mama Bear phases into Roblox.
  • Mixing Teddy count, first clear, and S Rank in one learning run.
  • Counting a Teddy interaction that did not visibly explode.
  • Assuming a revive preserves a one-gameplay challenge.
  • Applying an early-phase response to every later section.

Evidence status

Community corroborated: Mama Bear is the Bearly Buried threat identity in current HUNTED coverage. Official: Bearly Buried place and its three badge goals. Needs in-game testing: all HUNTED-specific phases, AI, speed, spawning, cues, Teddy relationship, checkpoint behavior, multiplayer targeting, and safe responses.

Keep section records independent

Give each major objective state its own entry landmark, escape loop, warning cue, and recovery note. If the geometry or threat changes, start a new record even when the game still calls the level Bearly Buried. This prevents an early safe response from being applied to a later encounter with different conditions.

For a Teddy Defuser practice run, mark each successful visible explosion beside its landmark and check the live count if one exists. Do not count proximity, an attempted use, or a disappearance without the expected result. If the count and your notes disagree, trust the live state and use the discrepancy to retest. During an S Rank attempt, remove experimental Teddy detours unless the current result screen proves they support the score.
